This murine monoclonal antibody recognizes the F0 (70 kDa) and F1 (48 kDa) subunits of the RSV fusion protein present on all RSV strains (A & B). The affinity of this antibody is exceptionally high, and is responsible for its 100% specificity. It neutralizes the ability of RSV to infect sensitive cells in vitro. It also inhibits the cellular fusion caused by RSV. In immunofluorescence antibody shows a cytoplasmic staining. SEE ALSO CONTROL SLIDES.

this murine monoclonal antibody recognizes a RSV-A specific fusion protein antigen. This antibody inhibits the cellular fusion caused by RSV-A. The typing of RSV may have some benefit since groupe A RSV may cause a more severe pathology in some hosts than type B RSV. No cross-reactivity with other respiratory viruses. In immunofluorescence antibody shows a cytoplasmic staining.
